SWPL begins 'Summer Hours' effective May 25th. 
Saturday hours are now 9AM-1PM. The Library is closed on Sunday. Normal hours resume after Labor Day.

The Library will be closed on June 19th for Juneteenth.

Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading 2024

South Windsor Public Library is proud to be able to offer a Summer Reading Program for all age groups. There is no charge or residency requirement to participate. Choose the program appropriate program below and follow the instructions to start earning prizes for using your library all summer long!

Adult Summer Reading

Participants in the Adult Summer Reading Program will fill out a log with books they read from June 1st through August 31st. Registrants will receive a South Windsor Library computer tote bag while supplies last. Reading logs can be printed from home or picked up at the reference desk. Sticking to the genres listed in the reading log is not necessary.

Patrons will receive a prize ticket for every book they read. The final prize is a prize pack of gift cards and certificates to local businesses. The drawing will take place August 31st at noon. PreK-Grade 5 Summer Reading

After registering, come to the library and receive your first game card for the summer. Cards will be available every two weeks with prizes starting on Monday, June 24. Teen Summer Reading

Starting June 24, teens can spin the prize wheel for each book they read and win a prize ticket, a free book, or tote bag!

A prize ticket will be awarded for each program teens attend as well.

Also, don't forget to ask about the photo scavenger hunt!
