2021 Teen Summer Volunteer Program
Open to Ages 12-18

This summer, our goal is to have our readers and volunteers stay safe as they enjoy the library and the programs we’ll offer.

We will be having outdoor programs for all ages with the help of a limited amount of volunteers, ages 12-18.

Shifts will be Mon.- Fri. 9:30-11:30 & 1:30-3:30.

We can accommodate 4 volunteers per shift, 2 shifts per day, during the 8 weeks of the summer reading program.

Volunteers will be handing out “Take and Make” crafts with instructions, and helping to set-up and break-down outdoor programs.

Masks will be required for the full 2 hours of the volunteer shift.

On rainy days, we may cancel or move programs to the Friend’s Room where there is more room to spread out.

For those interested in volunteering, sign-ups will begin on June 17th at 10 am, online at:

Parental permission and a signature will be necessary. Click here to access the Parental Consent Form:

Volunteers will be participating in their own age-appropriate reading program as part of their community service commitment.

The first 50 registrants will be called to come to the library on Friday, June 18th at 2pm to choose volunteer hours for the first two weeks. They will automatically be entered into a raffle for a family summer pass to

 Veterans Memorial Pool.

Thank you, SWPL Children’s Staff
