We’re continuing our series with Race: The Power of an Illusion, a three-part documentary series produced by California Newsreel that investigates the idea of race in society, science and history.  Please watch Part1: The Difference Between Us on Vimeo before the discussion. (You must call the library to get a coupon number and instructions so that you may watch the DVD online at no charge.) On January 11 our discussion features Tanya Livingston and Terry Robinson as moderators. Tanya is “a bringer of information that fosters race amity and unity. “ She has collaborated with the Race Unity Circle of Poughkeepsie, NY as a facilitator; is a co-presenter for a “Holding up the Mirror: Implicit Bias and You” course at Vassar’s Life Learning Institute and is a founding member of the Courageous Conversations group of Bridgeport, CT .  Currently, Terry is a board member of the Connecticut Council for Interreligious Understanding and the Connecticut Coalition for Race Amity.  He is a sustainability manager for Otis Elevator, and has been a resident of Manchester for 30 years.
