Congratulations to SWPL teens Aanya, Anushree, Janani and Siri!
As part of their Girl Scout Silver Award project, they wanted to help children through these tough times of the pandemic by reading stories to them. So they reserached, recorded and created a website in which families can access classic literature that they might not have heard before. Make sure to checkout their website and enjoy some interseting tales!

Educational Resources for Online Learning

While the library offers a variety of free digital resources throughout the year, we have created a list of additional free educational resources and activities that will keep children, and adults, entertained during this time of social distancing. This list is ongoing and will be added to periodically.

Children's and YA Services: COVID-19 Online Resources

The Children’s and YA Services of the Connecticut State Library has a list of available free, educational resources. A big thank you to Kymberlee Powe , Children and YA Consultant, for putting this together and ensuring that Youth Service Librarians throughout the state have quality resources to offer to our communities!

Storyline Online

Storyline Online is a children's literacy website created by the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, which provides free storytelling videos and resources for parents and teachers to foster a love of reading in children.
