Frequently Asked Questions

MATERIALS AVAILABLE - Books, CD's, Pamphlets, Cassettes, Toys, Magazines, Videos - Most items circulate for 21 days. Videos circulate for either 3 days, 1 week or 3 weeks.

LIBRARY CARDS - Library cards are available to all children with parental permission.

CONNECTICARD -Your library card may be used at any public library in the state. Books may be returned to the South Windsor Public Library that have been borrowed from other libraries.

RENEWALS - Materials may be renewed for an additional 21 days unless the item has been requested by another patron. You may renew on line or by calling 644-5404.

RESERVES - Materials may be reserved if the item is not in the library - either by phone or on line - call 644-5404 for details. Books may be borrowed from other libraries if not owned by South Windsor Public Library.

READER'S ADVISORY - The staff is always available to answer reference questions and help in book selection.

PARENT/TEACHER'S SHELF - A special collection of books, magazines, and pamphlets dealing with children's issues, including Home Schoolers.

PROGRAMS - We offer programs for all ages during a Fall, Winter and Spring session.  Watch the newspapers, our calendar or our bulletin board for news of upcoming programs!
